INTRODUCTION

For nearly 60 years I have written opinion columns for my business journals and community newspapers and have spoken on a variety of subjects to business, Rotary, Probus, educational and defence force organisations. The commentaries included in this web-site repeat some of these as well as having added contemporary articles. Those that are republished are identified by the date of publication or delivery.

My views have often differed from those of many of my friends whose political and societal attitudes are more conservative than mine. As far as I am aware, my more radical outlook has not cost me any friendships.

Also included are some extracts from 'Inspiring Words', a collection published in 1996 and from 'Page Two', published in 1990.
